3-Phosphoglycerate phosphatase (GPP, EC3.1.3.21) catalyzes the removal of phosphate ions from 3-phosphoglycerate to form glycerol, which is the final enzymatic reaction in the synthesis process of glycerol, and the enzyme activity directly determines the level of glycerol production. This kit uses 3-phosphoglycerate as the substrate and ammonium molybdate as the color reagent to measure the amount of phosphate ions produced by the enzyme in a unit of time, thereby determining the activity of 3-phosphoglycerate phosphatase.
