Phosphatases are an important class of hydrolases. Acid phosphatase (ACP, EC 3.1.3.2) dephosphorylates phosphoesters under acidic conditions. This kit provides a highly sensitive, simple, and direct detection method using p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) as the substrate, generating the yellow product PNP, which has the maximum absorption peak at 405nm. By detecting the increase rate of PNP at 405nm, the activity of acid phosphatase (ACP) can be determined.
