Asparagine (Asn) is one of the 20 natural amino acids used by all organisms for protein synthesis. In humans, it is a non-essential amino acid because it can be synthesized in the body from aspartic acid and glutamine. This kit uses asparaginase to break down asparagine into aspartic acid and NH4+, which then react with α-ketoglutarate under the action of glutamate dehydrogenase, oxidizing NADH in the process. By detecting the decrease in NADH at the specific absorption wavelength of 340nm, the content of asparagine (Asn) can be calculated.
