Antioxidants can reduce Fe3+-TPTZ to blue Fe2+-TPTZ, and the ferric reducing ability of the sample can be obtained by measuring the blue Fe2+-TPTZ at 590nm. The higher the absorbance value, the stronger the reducing ability of the sample.

Visible spectrophotometer, 1mL glass cuvette (light path 1cm), thermostatic water bath, low-temperature centrifuge, pipette, mortar, and distilled water.
