Formate dehydrogenase (FDH, EC 1.2.1.2) belongs to the D-2-hydroxy acid dehydrogenase class and is widely used in the regeneration of coenzyme NADH. This kit utilizes FDH to catalyze the irreversible reaction of formate and NAD+ to produce carbon dioxide and NADH. By detecting the formation rate of NADH at 340nm, the activity of FDH can be calculated.
