Glucose (C6H12O6, FW: 180.16) is the primary source for the energy molecule ATP. This kit provides a quantitative, rapid, simple, and sensitive detection method. Glucose is specifically oxidized to produce a (pink) red product that reacts with the color reagent, which has a maximum absorption peak at 520nm, thereby obtaining the glucose content.
