Leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH, EC 1.4.1.9) is an NAD+-dependent oxidoreductase that can catalyze the reversible reaction of L-leucine and branched-chain L-amino acids to produce the corresponding α-keto acids and their analogs. This kit utilizes leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH) to catalyze the reaction of 2-ketobutyric acid and NADH to produce aminobutyric acid and NAD+. By measuring the decrease rate of NADH at 340nm, the activity of leucine dehydrogenase (LeuDH) can be calculated.
