Product description

Lycopene is a straight-chain hydrocarbon composed of 11 conjugated and 2 non-conjugated carbon-carbon double bonds. It is a very important type of carotenoid and an intermediate in the biosynthesis of many carotenoids. After extraction with an extraction solution, the absorbance is read at 502nm, where the light absorption of β-carotene is very small and can be avoided, and the content of lycopene is then determined through calculation.
