Product description

Under alkaline conditions, magnesium ions in the sample form a colored complex with dimethylaminobenzene blue, which has a maximum absorption at 510nm, and the absorbance is proportional to the magnesium content. By comparing with magnesium standard solutions treated in the same way, the serum magnesium content can be calculated. EGTA masks calcium ions to eliminate interference.
