This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives.
Bio-activity
The biological activity of Human IL-10 Rα was determined by its ability to inhibit IL-10 dependent proliferation of MC/9-2 mouse mast cells. The expected ED50=0.05-0.25 µg/ml in the presence of 2 ng/ml or rHuman IL-10. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.
Molecular Mass
The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human IL-10 Rα is Mr 24 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 27-35 kDa.
This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20 centigrade to -70 centigrade. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2 centigrade to 8 centigrade for one month or at -20 centigrade to -70 centigrade in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
