Product description

Ammonium nitrogen exists in soil as the ammonium ion, which is highly soluble and easily absorbed by plants, making it commonly used as fertilizer. This kit uses potassium chloride solution for extraction, and the ammonium nitrogen in the extract reacts with hypochlorite and phenol in a strong alkaline environment to form the water-soluble dye indigo blue, which is stable in color. It has a characteristic absorption peak at 625nm, and the absorbance value is proportional to the content of ammonium nitrogen.
