Soil glycine aminopeptidase (S-GAP) is an enzyme that can hydrolyze peptides with glycine at the N-terminus, secreted by soil microorganisms. This kit utilizes S-GAP to decompose glycyl p-nitroanilide to generate p-nitroaniline, which has the maximum absorption peak at 405nm. By measuring the rate of increase in absorbance, the activity of S-GAP can be calculated.
