Soil α-L-arabinofuranosidase (S-α-Afa, EC 3.2.1.55) is a glycosidase enzyme capable of hydrolyzing non-reducing furanose arabinose residues. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid detection method. S-α-Afa decomposes p-nitrophenyl arabinofuranoside to produce p-nitrophenol (PNP), which has the maximum absorption peak at 405nm. By measuring the rate of increase in absorbance, the activity of α-Afa enzyme can be determined.
