Soil leucine aminopeptidase (LAP, EC 3.4.11.1) is an enzyme that can hydrolyze peptides with leucine at the N-terminus, secreted by soil microorganisms. Changes in the activity of this enzyme are closely related to certain pathological states of the organism. Soil leucine aminopeptidase (S-LAP) decomposes L-leucyl p-nitroanilide to form p-nitroaniline, which has the maximum absorption
