Soil pyrophosphatase (pyrophosphate phosphohydrolase, EC 3.6.1.1) catalyzes the hydrolysis of pyrophosphate into orthophosphate. It plays an important role in the mineralization and transformation of soil organic phosphorus. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid detection method. Soil pyrophosphatase catalyzes the hydrolysis of pyrophosphate into phosphate. The enzyme activity can be determined by measuring the amount of inorganic phosphorus generated at 700nm.
