Product description

Total phenols are a class of active substances with antioxidant and free radical scavenging functions. This kit uses the Folin-Ciocalteu method to determine the total phenol content. Under alkaline conditions, phenolic substances reduce tungstomolybdic acid to produce a blue compound with a characteristic absorption peak at 760nm. The absorbance value read at 760nm is used to calculate the total phenol content.
